
Trinh Nguyen

Trinh Nguyen is a political scientist in training whose work sits at the intersection of geoeconomics, international security, and network analysis. She is currently a PhD student in Political Science (International Relations) and a Presidential Scholar at George Mason University, where she studies how states weaponize economic interdependence and reshape global supply chains.
Beyond her academic work, Trinh is actively engaged in regional and global policy networks. She serves as a Pacific Forum Young Leader, St. Gallen Leader of Tomorrow, Helsinki Geoeconomics Albert Hirschman Fellow, former YSEALI Fellow, and ASEAN–Korea Youth Ambassador (2023–2025), contributing to dialogues on Indo-Pacific security, diplomacy, and youth leadership. At VPS, Trinh leads the DC chapter, helping to connect and support Vietnamese students and professionals in the region.
Trinh holds a Master of Public Policy from Fulbright University Vietnam and a Bachelor's degree in International Relations and Economics from American University.
