Phuong Doan

Board Member & CSO

As a co-founder, Phuong Doan serves as a direct strategic partner to the Executive Board, shaping the long-term vision and global positioning of the Vietnamese Society of Professionals and Students in the United States (VSP). Her focus lies in architecting a 3-to-5-year roadmap that establishes VSP as a cornerstone of the global Vietnamese intellectual ecosystem. She achieves this by integrating a vast network of experts, scholars, and international organizations into a collaborative platform of shared value.

Phuong's strategic perspective is informed by 15 years of hands-on impact within the Vietnamese community in the U.S. Through APUS Education Consulting and the Vietnamese Professionals Network (VNPN), she has empowered thousands of individuals to apply design-thinking principles to optimize their academic strategies, career trajectories, and personal growth. In parallel, as a Project Consultant at the Vietnam Initiative (Indiana University Bloomington), she orchestrates resources for the annual Vietnam-U.S. Autumn Forum, fostering critical partnerships among hundreds of businesses, educational institutions, and government agencies to drive bilateral economic and social progress.

Phuong's background bridges the gap between public policy and modern management. A recipient of the Vietnam Young Leader Award, she earned her Master of Public Affairs from Indiana University and conducted corporate strategy research at Northwestern University. As a Co-Founder of VSP, she brings a sharp, lived understanding of the Vietnamese experience in America, translating high-level objectives into enduring value for the professional and student community.
