Dr. Phu Nguyen is a Board Member of VPS and an Associate Adjunct Professor and Associate Director of the Center for Hydrometeorology and Remote Sensing at the University of California, Irvine.

His work focuses on hydrometeorology, remote sensing, satellite precipitation estimation, machine learning, and climate-related hazard monitoring. Through his academic leadership and community engagement, he supports VPS’s mission of connecting Vietnamese professionals and students in the United States while strengthening opportunities for collaboration, mentorship, and professional development.
