Phillip Tran

Coordinator of the Medical Professionals Network, and Arizona VPS Chapter Lead

Phillip Tran, MD, DO, FACP, FACOI is an invasive cardiologist affiliated with Dignity Health and Yavapai Regional Medical Center (YRMC) in Arizona. He earned his MD degree from the University of Medicine and Pharmacy at Ho Chi Minh City and his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from New York Institute of Technology (NYIT).


Dr. Tran serves as Chair of the Academic Council at YRMC and as Clinical Associate Professor of Internal Medicine at Midwestern University and YRMC. He is the founder of VMG (Vietnamese Medical Graduates), an organization that has successfully helped hundreds of Vietnamese physicians secure residency positions in the United States.


His achievements include the ACOI Researcher of the Year Award (2023), the Doctor of Humankindness Award from Dignity Health (2023), and the Distinguished Preceptor Award from A.T. Still College of Osteopathic Medicine (2020–2025). He currently serves as Rector of the College of Health Sciences at Nam Can Tho University.
